A Legend Lost

Jeff was a tireless supporter of the marching arts, always dedicated to the performer’s educational experience through competition (even after his “retirement”). He was a band director for over 30 years, most of which was at the award winning Norwalk High School. His commitment to excellence rivaled that of some of the greatest people in the activity. He was always early to everything, because in his words “to be on time is to be late”.

He not only taught his students what it meant to perform, but took the time to get to know his students, to care for his students, and to mentor his students to become better versions of themselves. He is already missed by the thousands of people who had the privilege of his knowledge, support, and love.

We will miss you always, Jeff. Eyes with pride!
